A couple of hundred yards behind our house in Sisal is a lagoon. So near but yet so far! From Seashore to Lagoon is like changing countries! The birds love the Mangrove Islands and the shallow waters. So did we!

Where Did You Go For Valentine's Day?... We Went To Campeche!
And romantic it was!
Campeche is a city of a quarter million people on the Southwest coast of the Yucatan. Founded in 1540, it was later walled in to protect it from pirates. Much of the central portion still has the wall in place. We spent four days there and loved it. The city is beautiful, the food was wonderful, and our lodging was located perfectly.
